The Application Engineer Technician supports the design, application, and troubleshooting of Zurn Elkay's commercial products. This role focuses on expanding product knowledge and interfacing directly with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure proper product selection, installation, and performance.
• Assists internal & external customers with product troubleshooting & diagnostic tools
• Developing knowledge of product performance, installation, and troubleshooting with a hands-on practical mechanical approach.
• Participate in training to build product and application knowledge.
• Actively participate in development of technical documentation (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures, Operations and Installation Manuals, etc.)
• Perform preliminary product testing and root cause analysis
• Works under supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Travels to customers installation sites: to represent ZURN in the field to observe product installation and field performance.
• 2-year associate degree in the related technical field preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on approach
• Basic knowledge of electronic application for varies plumbing products
• Strong oral communication, written communication and mechanical abilities required
• Must be a problem solver, self starter, good listener, and have the ability to handle delicate customer situations
• Microsoft Office Experience
• Sense of professionalism and situational adaptability
