Multinational Service Specialist - Financial Lines

Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Multinational Service Specialist to service and support our multinational program business in our Toronto office. If you have commercial insurance or multinational experience, and are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
Reporting to the Senior Multinational Services Manager, you will consult with account teams and manage end-to-end service delivery on multinational program business. Market-facing service requirements include advising on global insurance propositions and handling of various service delivery challenges with a view to enhance customer experience.

What You Will Do
- Manage end-to-end multinational program servicing and act as the point of contact for customers and brokers on assigned accounts.
- Provide input into the development of customer specific, value added services for existing and new customers of moderately complex accounts, as assigned.
- Act as an account representative by responding to customer service challenges and coordinating with the appropriate business partner for resolution (i.e. underwriters, relationship leads, finance…).
- Assist underwriting in structuring multinational programs and documenting service proposition for new and existing customers, including agreed service deliverables and standards.
- Deliverable and problem-solving challenges may relate to the multinational and domestic aspects of services, including policy issuance, regulatory requirements, reporting, risk engineering coordination, premium payment processes, claims flow issues, and money/currency movement.
- Handle specific requests from underwriting by reviewing service plan requests, determining feasibility of requests and implementing customer-focused service solutions. This will involve contact with prospects and/or customers to resolve routine problems.
- Coordinate data entry submitted to the third party vendor and perform quality checks on the entry before information is sent to the network.
- Provide input into the development of service plans for prospects.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring service plans for customers.
- Negotiate as well as facilitate reinsurance placements with reinsurance carriers.
- Support Underwriting on assigned accounts with compliant program structuring options using available tools.
- Attend meetings and monitor business decisions made at meetings to ensure each decision is acted upon in accordance with the outcome of the meeting.
- Attend external meeting with Underwriters to showcase and explain service and value propositions
- Provide customer specific solution management in resolving complaints or handling other service-related challenges.
- Prepare service presentations as required.
Job Qualifications - What You Bring To The Table
Required:
- Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Service Delivery area
OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Service Delivery area
AND
- Knowledge of domestic and multinational regulatory requirements
Preferred:
- Knowledge of insurance products and services, multinational business
- Knowledge of the business environment, finance, economics and reinsurance
- Effective communication skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Ability to effectively manage changing priorities
- Ability to build networking skills
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
