About the Role

As a Quality Engineer at our Croydon site, you will play a key role in driving quality excellence across our business. You will champion Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), support problem resolution with customers and suppliers, and deliver process improvements to ensure Zotefoams continues to meet and exceed quality standards.

Role Responsibilities

Champion APQP, reviewing projects, resolving or escalating non-conformities.

Produce and maintain control plans, capability data, SOPs, validation plans and other customer or internal documentation.

Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and internal non-conformities using 8D methodology, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Support production teams in ensuring compliance with quality management systems and driving process improvements.

Work with the Raw Material Manager to resolve supplier quality issues and manage supplier performance through audits and reporting.

Define and communicate customer quality requirements, ensuring alignment with manufacturing capability.

Conduct audits, prepare reports, and manage corrective and preventive actions.

Support DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA and other quality tools to enhance capability.

Lead product and process improvement studies across the organisation, including SPC and Six Sigma initiatives.

Maintain departmental procedures, QA records, samples and archives.

Ensure safe and environmentally responsible working practices in line with company procedures.

What You'll Need

HNC or Degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).

Six Sigma qualification.

5 years' experience in an ISO9001 environment (plastics, automotive, or relevant industry), with at least 2 years' experience of problem-solving using quality tools.

Demonstrable experience in internal and customer audits.

Strong knowledge of quality systems and processes, including APQP, FMEA, control plans, MSA, 8D, SOPs.

Experience using ERP systems.

High level of IT literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
