As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will be part of the Mobile Platform team who owns the delivery of solutions to mobile engineering problems. This team supports and mentors high-performing engineers and is leading the transition of Zip Native apps into React Native. Your work is key to the ongoing mobile evolution and success of Zip's customer experience.

What You'll Own

• Feel responsible for what you do with a strong sense of ownership: You build it, you test it, you run it, you deploy it, and you support it.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code with a focus on performance, reliability, and customer experience.
• Collaborate with engineers across mobile and backend teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering discussions to continuously uplift code quality and best practices.
• Support the prioritisation and delivery of features, bug fixes, and technical improvements.
• Stay curious about emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement across the mobile platform.

What You'll Bring To The Team

• Strong experience building and shipping production-grade apps using React Native and TypeScript.
• Experience working with Native iOS (Swift) and/or Native Android (Kotlin) codebases.
• Solid understanding of modern mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for improving code quality, performance, and developer experience.
• A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
