- As a Software Engineer Intern, you will learn to build Zip’s core products and architecture while shipping features that will be used by real users.
- You will work closely with a tight-knit team that values open communication and cross-functional collaboration to solve complex technical and product challenges.
- The role involves designing and building highly reliable and resilient products and features, as well as writing high-quality, extensible, and maintainable code.
- Interns will have the opportunity to design and build scalable frontend applications and components, as well as APIs to drive existing and new features for a web-based application.
- Previous interns have contributed to impactful projects, such as an internal AI bot and a virtual card auto lock feature, which are now actively used within the company.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate is pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
- Experience with web applications and API development is essential, particularly with technologies such as Python, Javascript/TypeScript, React, and GraphQL.
- A strong ability and interest in quickly learning new frameworks, architecture patterns, and programming languages is crucial for success in this role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior internship experience in a high-growth startup environment will be beneficial for adapting to the fast-paced work culture at Zip.
