This position involves imaging/fractography and material analysis on returned product as well as research, NPI (new product introduction) and manufacturing investigations. Frequent communication with internal and external customers is expected. Both teamwork and individual contributions are valued. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, driven and efficient.
This is an on-site position, 5 days per week (Monday - Friday) in Warsaw, IN.
Running chemical characterization and microscopy investigations
Creating reports on findings from investigations
Tracking, organizing and communicating status of investigations within the laboratory
Providing timely updates on tasks progress and day to day activities
Working with Data Management Systems
Assisting with instrumentation maintenance, lab supply moves, and documentation
Performing tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or designee

Possess knowledge of analytical test methods including, but not limited to SEM-EDS, optical microscopy, fractography.
Possess knowledge of material science/metallurgical engineering, manufacturing processing.
Experience with Titanium, Cobalt, and Stainless Steel alloys.
Computer literate with familiarity with MS Excel and Word
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Results oriented with the ability to accomplish work in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated enthusiasm and willingness to learn
Ability to work unsupervised on assigned tasks
Highly developed organizational skills – able to handle multiple high priority tasks/projects concurrently.
Bachelors or greater in Materials Science, Biomaterials or similar
Experience required using optical and SEM imaging techniques, with fracture analysis background, preferably in a related field.
Travel Expectations: Less than 5%
