Engineering Manager for Salesforce Engineering
As an Engineering Manager for Salesforce Engineering within the Frontline Enterprise Technology (FET)/B2B FAST team, you will lead a team responsible for delivering and operating complex Salesforce solutions critical to Zillow's B2B initiatives. Your leadership will shape the future of our unified quote-to-cash and customer management experiences, directly impacting how our sales and service teams operate and contribute to Zillow's strategic vision.
As a Manager, Application Engineering, you will get to:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Salesforce engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and inclusion.
- Oversee the design, build, and maintenance of scalable Salesforce applications and integrations.
- Drive technical delivery of key initiatives, such as the One Opportunity platform, supporting unified quoting, pipeline management, and contract workflows.
- Champion Salesforce best practices in code quality, security, observability, and performance.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales Operations, Finance, and other engineering teams to deliver solutions that meet business and regulatory needs.
- Ensure operational excellence by establishing robust incident response, monitoring, and on-call processes.
- Stay current with Salesforce platform releases, AI/automation trends, and industry best practices, and drive their adoption.
- Support integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems (e.g., Zuora, Databricks, AWS) to enable seamless data flow and automation.

Who you are:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role, preferably with Salesforce-focused teams.
- Deep hands-on experience developing on the Salesforce platform (Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL) and building/deploying applications on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), including system architecture and CI/CD practices.
- Proven track record delivering and operating complex Salesforce solutions in an enterprise environment, including Sales Cloud, Opportunity/Quote/Contract management, and integrations with external systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineering talent, fostering a high-performance and inclusive team culture.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce security, data modeling, and performance optimization, as well as incident management and quality assurance in production environments.
