We seek a strategic sales leader who combines healthcare industry expertise with consultative selling excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for improving patient access to quality healthcare while driving meaningful business results for hospital partners. The Account Executive, Hospital Partnerships will lead strategic business development initiatives focused on hospitals and health systems across the United States. This role encompasses responsibility for selling integrated advertising and marketing solutions across Castle Connolly and Everyday Health platforms, including Center of Excellence programs, media placements, profile enhancements, and emerging digital products.

The successful candidate will be a consultative, quota-driven sales professional with demonstrated expertise in healthcare marketing and a commitment to driving meaningful partnerships that benefit both healthcare providers and patients.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

  • Generate new revenue through Castle Connolly's Top Hospital licensing programs, Center of Excellence initiatives, and enhanced digital profile offerings
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies targeting hospitals and health systems of varying sizes and specializations
  • Create and deliver compelling proposals that integrate brand recognition, digital marketing, and performance objectives across the Everyday Health network
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across hospital marketing, communications, strategy, and executive leadership teams

Revenue Generation and Account Management

  • Manage a comprehensive sales pipeline with annual revenue targets exceeding $1 million
  • Execute integrated media advertising campaigns leveraging Everyday Health's extensive digital ecosystem, including EverydayHealth.com and partner sites
  • Develop multi-platform marketing solutions that combine Castle Connolly's prestigious hospital recognition with Everyday Health's massive patient audience reach and engagement capabilities
  • Structure comprehensive media packages including display advertising, sponsored content, video campaigns, and targeted digital marketing across Everyday Health's 60+ million monthly unique visitors
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with hospital clients and agency partners, positioning integrated Castle Connolly and Everyday Health solutions as essential components of their patient acquisition and brand building strategies

Product Development and Market Strategy

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and editorial to enhance existing offerings
  • Provide market intelligence and client feedback to inform product roadmap and go-to-market strategies
  • Recommend new programs and service packages tailored to different hospital categories, including community hospitals, academic medical centers, and regional health systems
  • Represent Castle Connolly at industry conferences and professional events

Performance Management and Growth

  • Drive account renewals, expansions, and upselling opportunities through consultative relationship management
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and client relationship management using Salesforce and sales engagement platforms
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas while maintaining high standards of client satisfaction
  • Track and report on campaign performance metrics and return on investment for hospital partners

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in B2B media sales, healthcare marketing, or strategic partnerships
  • Proven track record in quota-carrying sales roles with demonstrated success in exceeding annual revenue targets
  • Previous experience working with hospitals, health systems, or healthcare organizations strongly preferred
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers

Industry Knowledge and Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare marketing, hospital operations, and health system branding strategies
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms, media buying, and integrated campaign development
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry trends, regulatory considerations, and patient acquisition strategies
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience in performance tracking and ROI measurement

Technical and Communication Competencies

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, and sales engagement platforms such as Salesloft
  • Experience with media proposal development and presentation software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to C-level executives
  • Strategic thinking capabilities combined with strong execution and project management skills
  • Comfort working independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity standards
