Sr QA Engineer (accelq + Jira/xray)

Automation Engineer

Hands-on automation engineer responsible for converting manual test cases into AccelQ automation, enhancing E2E coverage, and maintaining full traceability via Jira + Xray. CI/CD runs are orchestrated through GitLab.

Responsibilities

Must-Have

• Strong hands-on experience with AccelQ (test design, reusable actions, logic flows).
• Ability to convert manual/UAT/Xray test cases into high-quality AccelQ automation.
• Experience in UI + API automation within AccelQ.
• Proficient in Jira + Xray for requirements linkage, execution tracking, evidence management, and reporting.
• Strong debugging skills to stabilize automation suites and reduce flakiness.
• Working experience triggering automation runs via GitLab CI/CD.
• Ability to derive E2E test scenarios from FET cases, ensuring coverage across upstream/downstream systems, business flows, and integration points.
• Skilled at converting FET-level functional steps into UAT-ready business scenarios, ensuring alignment with process SMEs and business acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on experience using AI Agents (GenAI/Copilot-style tools) to:
• Generate draft test cases from requirement/user stories/FET specs.
• Suggest edge cases, negative flows, and data variations.
• Accelerate conversion of manual cases into structured AccelQ steps.
• Identify missing conditions, dependencies, and cross-system impacts.

Qualifications

Good-to-Have

• Experience setting up AccelQ agents/grids for distributed runs.
• API testing skills with Postman/Newman (outside AccelQ).
• SQL basics for backend/E2E validations.
• Exposure to UAT cycles, evidence prep, triage participation.
• Familiarity with cloud foundations (GCP).

Key Responsibilities

• Build modular, reusable AccelQ automated scripts mapped to manual/Xray scenarios.
• Maintain shared components/actions to ensure stability and reusability.
• Execute automation runs, publish results into Xray with full evidence.
• Support E2E flows including data setup, integrations, and environment readiness.
• Engage with dev, business SMEs & functional testers to close coverage gaps.
• Run and monitor automation jobs through GitLab pipelines.
