Role Description

We are looking for a strong Java + Integration Engineer who will support the migration of existing integration services and help modernize enterprise applications. The role involves understanding Java components used in Mule 3 integrations, contributing to migration documentation, and partnering closely with the MuleSoft team during the transformation to Mule 4.

Candidates with exposure to any integration platform (MuleSoft/TIBCO/Oracle/Dell Boomi/Workato/ESB/iPaaS) and experience in migration projects will be preferred. MuleSoft expertise is not mandatory, but MuleSoft exposure is required, and the selected candidate will be upskilled on MuleSoft.

You will work across hybrid environments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to delivering stable, scalable integration solutions.

Here is how you will contribute:

1. Analyze and understand existing Mule 3 services, focusing on Java components, custom logic, and integration patterns.
2. Support migration activities—including documentation, mapping, and design—for transitioning integrations from Mule 3.x to Mule 4.x.
3. Collaborate with architects and MuleSoft developers to ensure accurate translation of business logic during migration.
4. Design and develop integration components using Java and Mulesoft.
5. Demonstrate a strong willingness and ability to learn MuleSoft and ramp up quickly.
6. Improve integration reliability, performance, and scalability.
7. Develop REST/SOAP services, XML/JSON transformations, and reusable components.
8. Work with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and integrate with AWS in hybrid environments.
9. Troubleshoot issues and support production integration flows as needed.
10. Follow development standards—exception handling, logging, versioning, and documentation.

Skills required to contribute:

1. Strong Core Java development skills (mandatory).
2. Experience with any enterprise integration platform (e.g., MuleSoft, TIBCO, Oracle SOA/OSB, Dell Boomi, Workato, or other ESB/iPaaS tools).
3. Migration project experience—preferably involving legacy-to-modern integration upgrades.
4. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON, and common integration patterns.
5. CI/CD experience with GitHub and Jenkins; AWS exposure preferred.
6. Strong analytical and debugging skills.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

1. Knowledge of domains such as Master Data, Supply Chain, or CRM.
2. Basic understanding of Mule 4 or strong willingness to upskill on MuleSoft
