✨ About The Role
- The Thermal Analysis Engineer will be responsible for performing thermal analyses using advanced software to support the development of Radioisotope Power System (RPS) technologies
- Tasks include conducting thermal analyses from high-level analysis to defining validation criteria, guiding design decisions, and reviewing peer and vendor work
- The role involves preparing technical reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- The Engineer will participate in research and development activities related to nuclear reactors and radioisotope power systems
- The position requires in-office presence in Seattle on specific days with optional remote work, and occasional travel of less than 10%
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced Thermal Analysis Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of thermal analysis experience
- Proficient in using advanced CAD/CAE software such as Thermal Desktop or ANSYS Workbench
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a startup environment and able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Familiarity with nuclear reactors or radioisotope power systems and experience in space applications would be advantageous
