- The Project Quality Engineer will support the mission-oriented efforts of developing and bringing to market Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) technologies.
- This role involves the effective implementation of the Zeno Quality Management System in support of project execution.
- The engineer will collaborate with various departments, including Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Procurement, to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Responsibilities include verifying supplier activities to meet required standards and facilitating root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- The engineer will participate in design reviews and other design activities to ensure quality requirements are met.
- The position requires in-office presence in Seattle on specific days, with remote work options available on others.
- Travel may be required for this position, estimated at less than 20%.
⚡ Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably engineering, is required for this position.
- At least 3 years of quality assurance experience in a space, satellite, or aerospace environment is essential.
- The ideal candidate should have quality assurance experience with flight hardware, with nuclear quality assurance experience being a plus.
- Proven knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards is necessary for success in this role.
- The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to influence cross-functional teams effectively.
- Strong analytical skills are required to monitor, report, and analyze metrics for compliance and performance visibility.
- Experience with developing processes and procedures in a new quality management system implementation is important.
