Lead the design and execution of TurboTax's premier assisted tax offerings, including full service, do it with me (DIWM), and business tax.

As the Director of Design for Assisted Tax, you will lead the evolution of how human expertise and AI-driven technology converge to solve the most complex financial problems for over 50 million Americans.
Strategic leadership & business acumen
- Champion the service evolution: Lead the articulation and advancement of Intuit's overarching design vision and strategy for assisted services. You will define the design language for how human expertise and AI-driven intelligence converge to create a 'done-for-me' experience that prioritizes peace of mind over task completion.
- Customer-first strategy: Serve as the primary advocate for customers within the organization, ensuring their voices are heard at the executive level. Utilize research and performance insights to ensure every design decision directly improves service outcomes and drives unparalleled user experiences.
- Ecosystem orchestration: Act as a strategic connector and catalyst, translating high-level business initiatives into actionable design efforts across business units. You will create the blueprint for personalized, year-round service relationships that extend far beyond the tax season.
- Executive influence: Communicate design strategies, user insights, and complex systems thinking to C-level executives and senior leaders. Influence executive decision-making by building trust and demonstrating how design advances business outcomes.
Innovation, AI, & tech acumen
- AI-Powered Experiences: Shapes, cultivates, and promotes the design vision for AI, translating high-level AI-led initiatives into actionable product efforts. Lead the design of AI-driven capabilities that act as a proactive assistant for both the customer and the tax expert.
- Data-informed empathy: Harness a comprehensive understanding of data and technical capabilities to uncover opportunities and drive innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.
- Systems thinking: Advance design maturity in areas of platform coherence and end-to-end journey design.

Organizational & people leadership
- Build high-performing teams: Lead and develop an organization of 15+ design managers and senior individual contributors.
- Talent development: Effectively recruit, develop, and retain top-tier design talent, building leadership depth across the org.
- Culture of excellence: Champion a culture of inclusivity, creativity, and craft excellence, making design a cornerstone of the organization's success.
Qualifications
- Experience: 12+ years in product design, with a proven track record of leading senior ICs and managers.
- Designing for a service: Deep expertise in orchestrating human-led experiences where the digital product acts as a conduit for expertise.
- Technical proficiency: Mastery in leveraging technology, AI, and emerging trends to deliver personalized 'done for you' experiences.
- Strategic impact: Demonstrated ability to influence at the C-level and drive results across the organization's strategic initiatives.
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial 'can-do' attitude with a relentless focus on the user's ultimate success and long-term bottom-line impact.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: Bay Area - $276,000.00 - 373,000.00, San Diego - $255,000.00 - 344,500.00
