We are seeking a skilled and adaptable IT System Engineer to join our Electronic Tolling Operations and Maintenance team in Bratislava. This role supports tolling infrastructure across Europe and requires a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to respond to critical system needs — anytime, anywhere.

What will be your mission?

Deploy, configure, and manage applications and system changes across tolling platforms.

Maintain system integrity, performance, and security across production and test environments.

Support European end customers via ticketing systems and direct communication with partners.

Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.

Participate in 24/7 on-call emergency support rotation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement updates and enhancements.

Document system configurations, operational procedures, and incident reports.

Your daily tasks:

Handle application deployments and configuration updates.

Respond to and resolve customer tickets and incidents.

Coordinate with sub-suppliers and customers to ensure seamless system operations.

Perform system health checks and apply patches or upgrades.

Participate in change management and release planning.

Maintain logs and reports for various purposes.

What do you need to become a team member?

University degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.

Experience in system administration, application deployment or IT operations.

Familiarity with Linux environments, DBs and scripting.

Understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols.

Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow).

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and evolving system requirements.

Experience with monitoring systems and cloud platforms is welcomed.

Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.

Reliable and detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.

Calm and effective under pressure, especially during emergencies.

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

Fluent in English.
