We are looking for a Psychiatrist or Child Psychiatrist Specialist to start at our Tampere, Hämeenlinna, or Seinäjoki service point starting December 1, 2025, or as per agreement. The employment is permanent and full-time or part-time according to your preference. You can suggest a suitable start date, weekly working hours, and duration of employment. You can work from the service point or remotely. Part of your work will be directed to other YTHS service areas remotely.
Our clientele is pleasant and committed to their care. With your work, you will impact the future of university students and be a significant link in ensuring their educational capacity. The treatment of mental health issues involves a multidisciplinary team including psychiatric nurses, health care professionals, and psychologists. You will also receive support from a national network of experienced psychiatric specialists.
It would be an advantage if you have expertise in the diagnostics and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, but it is not mandatory. The Acute patient information system we use is user-friendly and easy to adopt.
Students are referred to the psychiatric reception usually by a general practitioner when the treatment by a psychiatric nurse or psychologist and a general practitioner has not been sufficient and a specialist assessment is needed at a basic level. Based on the results of the investigations, the psychiatrist develops a treatment and rehabilitation plan with the necessary statements. Psychiatrists also perform other consultation work by answering questions from general practitioners and teams.
We offer the following to our future colleague:
It is important to us that combining work and leisure time is easy; days end on time and evenings and weekends are your free time. The full-time doctor's working hours are 38.25 hours per week. Our doctors are part of the flexible annual working hours scheme.
Regarding terms and remuneration, we follow the agreement between YTHS and the Finnish Medical Association. The task-based salary range for full-time specialists is 7201–7936 euros per month. The monthly salary may also include a personal salary share of 6–24%. We pay for medical certificates and statements according to TES.
