Schedule: Flexible hours - possible for up to 40 hours per week.
Summary of Position: The Direct Support Professional is an hourly, part-time role dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care in home or community settings, ensuring the health and well-being of individuals.
- Assist with daily living activities: hygiene, meals, and medication reminders.
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and participating in social activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Additional coursework or certification in human services or related fields is a plus.
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willing to obtain
- Basic computer skills required; experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage is required.
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus.
