Senior Database Engineer (Contractor) Immediate Start
Youtap Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Engineer (Contractor) to join our dynamic team on a contractual basis.
In this role, you will take charge of implementing, optimizing, and maintaining our database solutions while ensuring data integrity and availability across various platforms including AWS and Azure. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to drive effective data flow and assist in the development of data-driven solutions that meet business needs.
Your experience with PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and AWS Aurora, Microsoft SQL is crucial for effectively managing our database environments. We are looking for a proactive individual who can diagnose complex problems and apply best practices in database management and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain database systems and data models to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and capacity planning.
- Develop and implement data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity.
- Collaborate with software engineers to provide efficient data solutions and support application development.
- Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Prepare technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Must have excellent English skills (both speaking and writing).
