Lead Engineer With Deep Expertise In Control Systems For Power And Lighting Applications

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer with deep expertise in control systems for power and lighting applications. The role will focus on leading the design, integration, and optimization of advanced control systems that govern electrical infrastructure, particularly power distribution and lighting control systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with control system design, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), as well as smart grid technologies, specifically applied to power and lighting systems for large-scale urban environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of control systems for power distribution and lighting control in smart city infrastructure projects.
• Oversee the design and configuration of PLC-based control systems and SCADA systems, for the automation, monitoring, and control of power distribution networks (RMUs, switchgears, transformers, UPS systems, etc.) and lighting control systems (dimmers, sensors, control panels).
• Develop, implement, and maintain smart lighting control systems, integrating technologies for energy efficiency and automation.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure control systems are integrated seamlessly.
• Ensure that all control systems are fully compliant with local and international electrical codes, control system standards, and sustainability regulations.
• Conduct detailed technical analysis and system design for integrating renewable energy sources and energy storage systems into the control systems for power and lighting to enhance sustainability and grid stability.
• Supervise the installation, configuration, and commissioning of control system components, ensuring optimal functionality of PLC and SCADA systems throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues related to control systems within power distribution, lighting, and smart grid infrastructure.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical teams working on control system design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Prepare and present detailed technical reports, system documentation, and design specifications for control systems to stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies in smart city control systems, IoT, data analytics, and artificial intelligence for power and lighting management.
