Sales Development Representative

Join our Fitness & Wellbeing vertical as a Sales Development Representative in Melbourne, to make a real impact every day. You'll join our Fitness & Wellbeing vertical where we've recently brought together our Boutique Wellness and Health & Fitness business to form a single, global vertical that serves clients around the globe in key markets like the US, Canada, UK, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. We have market-leading software products like Xplor Gym (Membr), Mariana Tek, TrueCoach, Clubware, Resamania and Xplor Recreation designed to help our clients manage and grow their business.

Reporting into the Director of Account Management - Gym, you'll help us by contacting, educating & converting prospects to use our Xplor Gym product and also contributing to sales growth by qualifying leads and set product demonstration appointments with potential new fitness and wellbeing client accounts. Some of the other responsibilities you'll have:

  • Prospect and qualify new leads through outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach
  • Set product demonstration appointments with potential new customers
  • Demonstrate empathy and build trust in external relationships with our customers
  • Build and maintain sufficient pipeline coverage, including both inbound and outbound calling
  • Keep up-to-date records of activities in our CRM (Salesforce)
  • Maintain knowledge of any new products, features, and offers
  • Engage fitness business owners and decision-makers, understanding their challenges and identifying opportunities for our platform to add value.
  • Develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business
  • Attend and staff trade shows / in-person events when required
  • Interact with accounts, leads, contacts, and opportunities according to sales department best practices, policies, and procedures
  • Other job duties as required
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and fitness tech innovations to communicate value effectively.

For this position, we offer a hybrid and flexible working model, where you will spend 2 days per week in the office and the rest working from home.

Required qualifications for this role:

  • Passion for fitness, health, or wellness - you understand the mindset of people who live and breathe this industry
  • Previous experience in an outbound sales position
  • Previous experience with working towards set KPIs and targets
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone and call.
  • Understands lead generation, cold calling and discovery calls
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A high level of computer literacy would be ideal as would a knowledge of Excel and Salesforce
  • Growth mindset with openness to feedback and a desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Must be an Australian citizen or have eligibility and documentation demonstrating your right to work in Australia
