Location: Luling, TX (onsite)
Conduct hazard analyses using methodologies like FMEA, HAZOP, and What-If Analysis.
Develop and implement controls for hazards identified.
Provide technical expertise on hazardous materials and processes.
Responsibilities:
Perform complex hazards analysis assignments in support of the development, testing, and manufacturing of hazardous materials.
Apply physics-based approach to risk identification and mitigation.
Support concept, design, and process hazards analyses in response to contract data item requirements and regulatory needs.
Provide a basis for safety waivers and regulatory interpretation and deviation.
Often function in a consulting and SME role as it relates to the risks associated with design and development of product and processes using highly hazardous materials.
Work across multiple organizations to establish policies and procedures focused on risk reduction and hazard control.
Qualifications:
BS Engineering or Physics minimum
8+ year experience with energetic materials minimum
Strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent communicator and team leader
Strong working knowledge MIL-STD-882, DoD4145, OSHA, and NFPA Regulation
