Service Technician Opportunity
Momar, Inc., a specialty chemical manufacturing company based in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a Service Technician in Gillette, Wyoming to join the Momar family. Reporting to the Sales & Service Representative, the Service Technician will be responsible for providing operational and service support to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable mining processes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations of mining processes, ensuring that safe and efficient practices are consistently followed.
- Operate, maintain, and service chemical spray equipment, including performing routine inspections and troubleshooting as needed.
- Identify and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operational efficiency.
- Work closely with team members and communicate technical findings and service recommendations clearly to management.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, and equipment status to support operational tracking and decision-making.
- Assist with additional tasks or special projects as assigned by the Sales & Service Representative to support ongoing operations and improvements.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience in a technical or service-related role, preferably in mining, industrial equipment, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to handle physical tasks and operate machinery safely in a mining environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in mining or industrial plants.
- Strong mechanical background with the ability to operate and maintain equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional technical training is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and potential exposure to noise.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear.
- Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.
