Federal Project Manager - Critical Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive, technically-skilled Lead Project Manager to oversee and drive critical support processes within our healthcare IT environment. The ideal candidate will develop and refine processes to ensure that each new incident becomes an opportunity for system improvement, thereby reducing risk and enhancing service continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee critical support items on the VA project, managing issues that cannot be resolved through traditional support means.
  • Drive the project management lifecycle for issue resolution, ensuring each incident is handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage deliverables throughout the support project, including milestones and project schedules.
  • Provide feedback to the team, customers, and corporate stakeholders when project milestones or schedules are at risk.
  • Ensure projects align with the goals and timelines outlined in the scope of work and schedule.
  • Communicate status updates to customer stakeholders and internal management.
  • Ensure consistency and best practices are utilized while adhering to customer standards.
  • Utilize knowledge of the Cerner Millennium platform or other EHR systems to execute basic troubleshooting and support.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical background in Cerner Millennium or equivalent EHR systems.
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in healthcare IT environments.
  • Ability to develop and refine processes for incident management and service improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate and resolve project challenges.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only. US: Hiring Range in USD from $23.32 to $48.03 per hour; from: $48,500 to $99,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
