The Sales Operations Specialist is a part of our Sales Operations team. This role blends analytical horsepower with technical prowess to drive performance visibility, optimize tooling, and enable strategic planning across a multi-entity sales organization. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Sales, Technology, and Finance to support Salesforce and Power BI needs, surface insights into profitability and volume trends, evaluate and implement new tools, and support territory planning, incentive modeling, and KPI tracking. This is a national role with a wide-reaching impact.

Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Performance & Strategy

  • Analyze sales performance, customer segmentation, SKU velocity, margin trends, and volume shifts across entities and territories
  • Build models for sales coverage, quota setting, territory optimization, and pipeline pacing
  • Support annual and quarterly target setting with historical data, forecast inputs, and market dynamics
  • Track performance against incentive plans and assist with modeling new comp structures

Reporting & Metrics

  • Own and maintain Power BI and Salesforce dashboards and ad hoc reports that monitor KPIs, pipeline activity, sales rep performance, and program execution
  • Define and evolve core sales metrics in collaboration with Sales Ops and leadership
  • Validate data accuracy across systems and ensure consistent reporting practices
  • Work with third-party reporting tools to gather insights and pull data into the existing environment

Systems & Tools

  • Serve as Salesforce administrator for Sales Ops-related support (e.g., workflows, reports, automations)
  • Work with external partners to manage Salesforce tickets and priorities
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies in sales reporting, data workflows, and tool usage; help test and implement scalable solutions.
  • Evaluate new sales tools and apps; lead integration planning and implementation with internal and external partners
  • Maintain tool functionality across tech stack—Salesforce, Power BI, etc.
  • Support automation of manual tasks and data flows between systems

Cross-Functional & Regional Support

  • Assist regional Sales Operations Managers with reporting, tool adoption, and metric alignment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects involving sales process improvements, data infrastructure, and enablement
  • Support sales enablement with tool guides, training resources, and process documentation

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Business Analytics roles
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI (or Tableau) skills; strong modeling and dashboard-building capabilities
  • Salesforce administration experience (certification preferred); familiarity with flows and automation tools
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to translate data into insights and action
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience in CPG, cannabis, or distribution a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to determine reasonableness and ability to translate those insights into strategies
  • Knowledge of relevant database technologies, programming languages, data visualization, and reporting systems
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance assurance are critical for this role
  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency in mathematics with the skill to translate complex mathematical information into understandable reports
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Eager to acquire new knowledge and understand relationships between variables even when application is not immediately apparent
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with managers, peers, other departments, and all levels of management
  • State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older

Benefits

As an exempt employee, you’ll receive a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000/yr, 11 paid holidays, 120 hours of PTO, 401K, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
