Compensation: $18.20 /hr

Worksite Location: Varies

Shift: Sunday 12-4p, Monday - Thursday 12p-9p. (Friday/Saturday off)

Overview / Job Summary

The Technology Support Specialist I role is to support and maintain computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This person will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware, software and peripheral equipment while ensuring optimal computing performance.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

  • Provides excellent customer service to Faculty, Students and WSU Tech Staff.
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Actively informs fellow technicians of critical issues while providing status reports through the IT Ticketing System.
  • Coordinates, assists and shares knowledge with IT Technicians.
  • Serves as the secondary point of contact and support for lower impact IT systems.
  • Actively assists with IT upgrade and maintenance projects.
