Product Owner For Modern Webgis Platform

Are you ready to take responsibility for a modern webGIS for the supply industry?

WSP is looking for a committed and skilled product owner for our innovative Orbi INSIGHT platform.

As a product owner at WSP Informatik, you will have a broad scope of responsibility that goes beyond the traditional SCRUM product owner role. You will be responsible for defining the product’s direction and goals. Additionally, you will be a key person in communication with stakeholders and ensure that their needs and expectations are met.

Orbi INSIGHT is a cloud-based WebGIS application mainly used by Danish suppliers. Suppliers use the application to view their network on a map and have the option to apply features such as query builder, shutdown plan, object editing, etc. The system is used both by GIS office employees and field operations staff, and we are currently expanding the product with a new integrated operations module to manage operational tasks and citizen services.

Your tasks

Your tasks will include:

• Define the product vision and set goals
• Prepare, customize, manage, prioritize, and share the product roadmap
• Monitor the development process and evaluate product progress at each iteration
• Anticipate customer needs and outline the customer journey
• Be the primary contact person and link between customers and developers
• Manage customer meetings, user meetings, and general product communication
• Contribute to sales, proposal writing, consultancy, and presentations
• Handle testing and release preparation
• Perform project management, including facilitating meetings
• Support older solutions and migrate new customers to the new solution

Your skills and competencies

We envision that you have a strong understanding of data and IT conceptualization, as well as experience working in the tension field between customers and product. You are service-minded and comfortable with customer dialogue in providing assistance and support. It is an advantage if you have experience with agile development processes and can commit professionally in writing and speaking both Danish and English.

Additionally, it is an advantage if you have experience with GIS, geodata, and SQL, as you will be in contact with GeoServers, SQL Servers, and other sources of geodata through your work. Generally, a good understanding of data is important. If you do not have experience with GIS/geodata, experience within the supply industry or alternatively a relevant entry point could be an alternative.
