WSP is initiating a search for a Sr. Environmental Engineer located in our Jacksonville, FL – Baymeadows Road office. This is an opportunity to be involved in projects with WSP's Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges. The Engineer will provide technical assistance for the development of environmental due diligence, environmental site assessment and/or monitoring, and environmental remediation projects. Technical tasks may include assisting with development and implementation of site assessment work plans and remedial action plans; directing field activities through subcontractor procurement and real-time communication with field staff; and evaluation of environmental conditions. The Engineer will also contribute to the development of concise and accurate technical reports including conclusions and recommendations.
Manage environmental assessment activities, including identifying and compiling of data from a variety of sample matrices (soil, soil gas, sediment, surface water, and/or groundwater) and contaminant types (volatile organic substances, metals, pesticides, per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances).
Design soil and groundwater remediation plans using a variety of technologies, including soil excavation, soil vapor extraction, and enhanced bioremediation.
Oversee and monitor local and/or remote teams in executing project work, including tracking project budgets, labor hours, expenses, and subcontractor costs.
Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, models, cross-sections, and other illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of complex data, findings, or analyses.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports that describe methodologies, analytical results, conclusions, and recommendations to address environmental findings.
Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and technical staff in a confident and professional manner.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
