Are you a highly skilled and adaptable machining professional with a passion for precision and a knack for problem-solving in challenging environments? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced In-Situ Machining Engineer to join our specialized team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for performing complex machining, repair, and alignment tasks directly on board ships or at shipyards worldwide, minimizing downtime and maximizing the operational efficiency of marine engines and critical components.
As an In-Situ Service Engineer, you will travel globally, often on short notice, to perform hands-on urgent machining activities at our customers' premises, gaining valuable insight into how on-site repairs can significantly impact our customers in times of need. You will precisely machine and rebuild a wide variety of reciprocating engine components following established guidelines and safety protocols. You will oversee and manage all aspects of on-site machining operations, from line boring to crankshaft machining. Your work will not be limited to our products but will extend to all OEM equipment and variations.

This position requires a minimum of 60% travel, both domestically and internationally, including onshore and offshore locations as needed. The role demands adaptability to varying travel requirements, with extended periods away from the primary work location. A typical assignment involves traveling on short notice, with stays ranging from a few days to about two weeks. Normally, assignments are completed in pairs, but for certain services, solo travel is required. Therefore, we seek candidates with a strong Field Service mindset, who are flexible and ready to travel.
