Responsible for the development and production of conceptual, basic, detail, or front-end engineering through specialized mineral processing knowledge ensuring safety and a high standard of quality in the deliverables of the discipline in accordance with design criteria, standards, and norms.
Participates as an expert in the development and review of engineering from conceptual studies to detail, front-end, and operation engineering, depending on the project scope.
Ensures and monitors the safety and quality in the design of the Process Discipline, with national, global, and client standards, codes, and norms. When the client does not provide one, proposes to the Discipline Leader a high level of standards based on local and international norms that Worley employs.
Provides advice and review of technical specifications and design of potential manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and machinery for mineral processing, in alignment with Worley and the client's technical, quality, and safety standards.
From the perspective of the Process Discipline, proposes and executes reasonable goals within deadlines for the production of Conceptual Studies, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Studies, Basic and Detail Engineering Designs, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Operation Manuals; and technical/commercial proposals.
Proposes to the Discipline Leader, criteria linked to the operation philosophy, budget, and schedule, deliverables to be presented, ensuring the correct production (non-exhaustive) of design deliverables to be presented, ensuring the correct generation (non-exhaustive) of process design criteria, mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, Process Control Strategies, Commissioning and Operation Plans, and the rest of the documentation agreed with the client.
Is an active member during the Commissioning stages in the Process Discipline which includes System Mapping, Installation Checklist, Dry and Wet Tests, Operations Team Training, Start-Up, Process Ramp-Up, Bottleneck Decompression, and Startup Problem Solving.
Proposes and develops Value Engineering in the Value Engineering in the Process Discipline depending on the project scope and client needs.
Coordinates with the rest of the disciplines, clients, suppliers, and contractors in a professional and collaborative manner, seeking project success.
Responsible for the assurance and compliance with the Worley Quality Assurance System guidelines and the HSE System.

Software, Processes, and Tools:
Specific Knowledge: Process Engineering, in mineral processing, with a focus on base metals. Experience in processing other types of metals is valued.
Specific Experience: Minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience, and at least 5 years performing in a similar role. Project Management Skills and ability to work in a global environment with a high level of pressure.
Academic Training, Accreditations, Training: Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering, with active registration in the College of Engineers of Peru (#CIP).
HSE Skills: Actively promotes our LIFE value behaviors and HSE Policies applicable to the Process Discipline.
IT Skills: Intermediate use of Microsoft environment (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); advanced use of Bruno, Metsim, JKSimmet software, and multiple Calculation and Design Software for processes. Personal Competencies: High degree of interaction at all levels, with Positive Influence on people. Good level of oral and written communication is expected. Ability to supervise work of subcontractors, less experienced Engineers, and Project Designers.
Other Skills: Autonomy, Entrepreneurship within the work, capable of working in a global environment.
