Objective of the role:

Work autonomously at an advanced level in a wide variety of tasks through the application of engineering and design theories, techniques, and practices. Have substantial knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, design and manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices for the development and control of deliverables. Can provide supervision in the discipline for a large project or one or more small projects.

Main responsibilities:

- Make responsible decisions for the definition of the course of engineering deliverables, drawing, and modeling. Difficult, complex, or unusual decisions will be referred to the local Engineering Manager or Discipline Manager.

- Work autonomously allowing the planning and organization of tasks in assigned projects, own and those of others, before their execution, in case of directing one.

- Perform functions based on self-initiated technical interaction and orientation with the supervisor (discipline manager), to subsequently influence the objectives and duties of their team.

- Receive, manage, and carry out project-related assignments with specific objectives and priorities, considering critical areas that may affect the work of other units. May be a supervisor of activities or also have supervision for the determination of precision, integrity, and compliance with objectives.

- Work in teams of up to 10 people who report directly to you, either participating or leading, and which may be made up of engineers and designers of the same discipline, but could include a much larger total size that considers coordinated support. May have authority for the performance evaluations that affect the salary of other professionals.

- Maintain constant and effective communication with the work team, to inform and persuade on complex issues and problems through the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations, and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and discipline management.

- Be proficient in the use of tools such as Microsoft 365 and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Teams). Can navigate intranet pages, perform searches, and retrieve information. Can organize information from multiple sources and retain it according to the established format and policies.

- Work competently and efficiently in specialized design tools, analysis, and modeling, and interdisciplinary data-driven methods.

- Build appropriate, constructive, and effective relationships throughout the organization; use diplomacy and tact, be accessible, communicate clearly, accurately, and coherently both verbally and in writing. Employ the principles of active listening and encourage feedback from and to others.

- Work in a team with visibility to high-level stakeholders, be able to work and link with multiple teams and stakeholders, be able to prioritize workloads and help other team members achieve their objectives.

- Achieve the results established by oneself and by others, meeting the defined deadlines.

- Strive to achieve ambitious goals, demonstrating enthusiasm, persistence, and tenacity.

- Divide and prioritize work into actionable tasks.

- Take responsibility for the produced work and ensure it is "correct the first time."

- Adapt to learning and implementing new concepts with greater complexity.

- Examine problems carefully and thoroughly and understand their interdependencies to propose solutions.

What you will bring?

Software, processes, and tools:

Generally have more than 10 years of relevant experience in the discipline and competent knowledge and understanding of regulations, codes, design and manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices.

Additionally must have solid knowledge in the estimation of project costs and the drafting of proposal contents.

Have experience in the realization of conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering of projects in the industry (Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, among others).
