This position is responsible for the Umbilical engineering of the SURF facility, by developing design concepts, design criteria and specifications, performing analysis, calculations and reviewing and implementing government regulations and industrial codes and practices in order to satisfy COMPANY SoW and BoD requirements.
Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering related field, an advanced degree in engineering is preferred. Ideally have chartered engineer status within a recognized related Engineering Institution. At least fifteen (15) years of experience in the oil and gas industry, at least ten (10) years of experience in riser/umbilical system engineering discipline and at least five (5) year experience as Lead Umbilical Engineer. At least hold 2 (two) positions as Lead umbilical engineer in FEED stage or detail engineering EPCI stage. Having experience in Umbilical design and specification for steel tubes deepwater production umbilical. Having experience in umbilical design and specification for both type of umbilical design, i.e. electro multiplex hydraulic and direct hydraulic umbilical. Has led or experience umbilical static and dynamic analysis interfacing with large floating facility, including fatigue analysis. Has experience in umbilical system design and interface with floating facilities, such as I/J tube, hang-off solution, etc. Has experience in umbilical system design and interface with subsea controls distribution, such as SUTA, SDU, TUTU, etc. Extensive experience in FEED and EPC projects activities related to umbilical system engineering of deep water SURF facility. Proficient knowledge and working experience with all phases of projects from FEED to detail engineering and through to construction and pre commissioning, project management and QC controls and procedures relating to project delivery.
