Customer Service Supervisor
ContainerPort Group (CPG®), a World Group company, is currently looking for a diligent person to join our family as a Customer Service Supervisor for our growing transload facility in Columbus, OH!
The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for overall operations within the CTF Office, including and not limited to Facility Safety Culture, Processing of Accounts Payables, Customer Satisfaction, International Documents, Fumigation & Booking Schedules, Load Planning and Train Releases, Scheduling of Inbound Trucks, CTF Scale Operation and Training of New Employees. This position provides administrative support and Customer Service to CTF/CPG/WDS Customers and Employees to Ensure Productivity and Customer Satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers phones and respond to emails
- Conducts facility safety meetings every morning
- Train and cross train new administrative team members
- Communicate any challenges or resolutions to upper management
- Oversee all administrative job functions and ensure quality assurance
- Slip seat or fill in for any team members during PTO or medical leave
- Oversee NS train communications, load planning and scheduling
- Assists in communicating delivery times and weight capacities with drivers daily
- Audit and monitor customer bookings and completion by cutoff dates
- Checks to ensure rail billing is complete and accurate
- Inventory control of steel products for customers
- Office and yard supply ordering for operational needs
- Temporary employee timecard and hours approvals
- Oversees the weighing of inbound and outbound trucks and containers
- CTF and customer per diem disputes and resolutions
- Assists with scheduling and documentation of the daily fumigation schedule (NDGI)
- Oversees the requests of equipment from ITS CY/D depot
Conducts interviews of new potential applicants and new employee onboarding
Collaborate daily with yard supervisor on day-to-day operations
Greets customers and incoming visitors in a professional and friendly manner
Processing accounts payable
Customer invoicing and distribution
File retention and maintaining internal paperwork
Education and experience:
- Customer-service oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Exceptional written, verbal, and inter-personal skills
- Computer skills are critical and must include Excel, Word, and Outlook
Physical requirements:
- The person in this position frequently communicates with external contacts and other employees. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment.
