WorldFish is implementing a diverse portfolio of projects across various fields, generating a high volume of reports, scientific articles, training materials, and technical documentation. As part of ongoing research activities to understand small-scale fisheries and gendered labor dynamics in Mozambique, 49 Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) were conducted in Inhambane Province. These interviews, which focus on gleaning practices and community perspectives, were carried out in local languages and require translation and transcription into English for analysis and reporting purposes.
The consultant will be required to translate and transcribe audio-recorded interviews from local Mozambican languages into English. Each interview is approximately 30–40 minutes long, totaling an estimated 33 hours of audio content. Each consultant will be responsible for translating and transcribing 25 interviews. The expected outcome is all the interviews transcribed in English. Specific tasks may include:
