Workday is hiring a backend Software Engineer who will work with a team to develop critical platforms and tools to support a global team building backend core services. This team is responsible for developing a world-class developer experience and delivery for services core to Workday's backend platform. Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain JVM-based software applications and developer tools
• Collaborate with teams from various departments to identify software requirements and effectively implement solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code to ensure high-quality software development
• Identify and resolve issues within software applications to ensure optimal functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually enhance your skills

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or an equivalent related field
• 4+ years in Java software development
• 2+ years experience with improving Developer Tools and Developer Experience
• Experience with Gradle or Maven and general patterns of Java packaging and dependency management

Other Qualifications:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Development experience in Spring and Spring Boot
• Experience with managing Jenkins pipeline
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS or equivalent Cloud Providers
