Civil Engineering Cad Technician
Bermello Ajamil, a Woolpert Company (BA) is seeking a Civil Engineering CAD Technician to join our dynamic Site Civil Team at our Coral Gables, FL office. This position is a hybrid position and can also accommodate candidates that live in the Broward area and wish to work out of BA's Fort Lauderdale office.
Responsibilities
As a Civil Engineering CAD Technician at BA, you will:
- Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and BA standards.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
- Work with project management teams to identify impediments and develop/implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Perform site due diligence assessments and compile data and reports.
- Able to perform occasional field work, frequent local travel, and/or overnight travel (10% of the time).
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
- Must have above average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Must be able to read, write and interpret reports, business correspondence and procedural documentation.
- Must be able to apply mathematical concepts of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations (fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions) and apply to practical situations.
- Must have a BA/BS degree or four (4) years related experience.
- Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Strong interest and working knowledge in hydrology and stormwater management.
- Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow, and complete tasks.
