Wood is seeking a mechanical engineer or pipeline designer to join its business unit Projects, focusing on the Oil, Gas, and New Energies (OGNE) area. This opportunity is on-site.
The role
Wood Colombia is looking for a professional in mechanical engineering, pipeline designer, or related fields, with 10 years of specific experience in engineering projects within the Oil & Gas sector, to work as a pipeline designer. Base of work: Bogotá.

Responsibilities
• Comply at all times with the Company's Corporate and local Policies and be consistent with our Corporate Values. Design, draw, and/or issue the deliverables assigned, with Wood's CAD standards to ensure that the plans are aligned with the overall project objectives.
• Work together with other talents in the discipline to ensure the integrity, update, and consistency of the drawings.
• Perform interdisciplinary work with other disciplines to guarantee the integrity and quality of the Company's designs.
• Apply and follow in full the Company's guides, formats, standards, procedures, norms, and requirements.
• Be responsible for the quality of the work performed, without depending on the review of others.
• Conduct field visits to gather and/or collect the required information for the execution of the projects.
• Develop the three-dimensional model with the pipeline designs and review the products of the discipline that are generated from it.
• Optimize the use of available resources for the execution of the projects. Interact with the client, suppliers, and contractors in meetings, presentations, or other required activities.
• Know and ensure compliance with international standards and norms API, ASME, NFPA applicable to pipeline design.
• Provide technical support to team members.
• Support the development and update of the database of lessons learned, as well as the implementation of these.
• Provide technical guidance and be a mentor to new talents.
