Wood is recruiting for an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer with experience also in Electrical design to join its Minerals and Metals business focusing on brownfield industrial projects. This opportunity is at our Trail, BC office.
The role will be responsible for the review and development of electrical, instrumentation and control designs required on detailed engineering projects. It also includes signing documents as a Professional Engineer, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of electrical designs and installations. The I&C Engineer will also lead small project teams to meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
Our Trail office currently numbers over 50 engineers, designers and support personnel. Trail, located in Southeastern British Columbia near the cities of Rossland, Nelson and Castlegar, is an affordable family-oriented community of approximately 10,000 people. The area offers excellent education and health care facilities, as well as access to world-class skiing at Red Mountain, hiking, boating, fishing, hunting, golf and all outdoor activities available in the Kootenays. The Wood Trail office is currently offering a hybrid working environment, with your work week split between attending the Wood Office and working from home. This situation is subject to change and is dependent on project requirements, office plans, and Wood policy changes.

Competitive salary with regular salary reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the market. Salary range: CAD $105,000 – $140,000. Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable experience, education, and the specific skill set and qualifications required for the role.
