Wood is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineers in Training (EIT) to join our Canada Projects business delivering some of the world's boldest and most critical projects. This opportunity is hybrid.

The role

Wood is currently seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineers in Training (EIT) to join the engineering team(s) within our Canada business based in Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB.

Wood's Projects business delivers some of the world's boldest and most critical projects, embracing many diverse and evolving sectors, from Oil, Gas & New Energies and Process & Chemicals, to Minerals, Metals & Life Sciences. We provide a full suite of services including project management, engineering, EPC, EPCM and project delivery, working in close collaboration with our colleagues in Consulting and Operations to ensure we are responsive to the needs of our clients through an integrated lifecycle proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Able to apply the theories, codes and standards appropriate to the Electrical discipline
  • Professional demeanor, interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team; while still being able to take responsibility and ownership of individual assignments.

Expected:

  • Recent graduate with a BSC, BEng or equivalent as an Electrical Engineer, Petroleum Engineer, Industrial Systems Engineer (within 2 years) or equivalent discipline
  • Strong written and oral communication (English) skills
  • Currently registered as an EIT with APEGA
