Onsite/Remote: Onsite
Work Environment: In-Person, Monday through Friday 5am to 1:30pm

Job Summary:
The Production Support is an entry level position in a wood interior moulding and doors manufacturer. Production Support would load, offload, and quality check interior moulding from line and inspect for quality defects in order to meet customer specifications and established quality standards. Employees are held to a standard to adhere to all safety practices and comply with all company policies including Department Employee expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Champion Safety. Safety is the upmost priority. Maintains a healthy work environment by following all company standards, policies, and procedures as well as those required by state and federal law.
- Provides additional backup support to the Operator. With on-the-job training the Production Support will learn the duties of the Operator and backup said during absences.
- Loading moulding onto machinery up to 25 pounds.
- Offloading moulding prior to placing in shipping cartons.
- Place poor quality moulding into bin.
- Grading materials for quality defects by inspecting color, shape, or texture.
- Packing materials into bundles, pallets, or cartons.
- Responding to alarms from machines regarding malfunction and reporting.
- Ensure proper labeling procedures are followed.
- Ensure proper placement of materials in shipping boxes in order to prevent damage.
- Print labels for shipping cartons.
- Proper PPE Usage while performing all job duties.
- Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of all deliverables.
- Cleaning up debris at your assigned work center.
- Assist with other production functions as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Education and Continuous Training:
- High school/GED.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Must be able to work well with others and collaborate in a team environment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- The ability to read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 25-pounds safely.
- Ability to assist in moving carton racks to the shipping area. A minimum of 2 people at all times.
- Ability to solve problems using critical thinking.
- Ability to complete work with an understanding of larger objectives in mind.
- Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- High level attention to detail.
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment, e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as required by specific jobs.
- Continuous training in-house and external as needed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- This person is expected to perform work in the manufacturing floor/environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds, 50+ two people must move.
- This is a full-time position. This position occasionally requires long hours and occasional weekend work.
Travel:
This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
