LMS & Instructional Design Coordinator - Educational Services

The LMS & Instructional Design Coordinator administers the Learning Management System (HealthStream) as the core platform for delivering, tracking, and reporting education at Woman's Hospital. Ensures HealthStream contract terms are met and revised as necessary. Designs, implements, and evaluates learning experiences, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Applies instructional design and adult learning theory to build engaging, compliance-driven education, strengthening team member competence, patient safety, and organizational readiness.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree with course work in instructional design, healthcare, human resources, or information systems preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of three prior years experience as an LMS administrator, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Requires strong knowledge of LMS administration and instructional design, with expertise in relevant technologies, methods, and tools.
  • Requires excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages HealthStream system functionality, including course assignments, employee compliance tracking, reporting, troubleshooting and system upgrades. Ensures accuracy of employee records, data and regulatory reporting.
  • Leads and administers annual education, ensuring rapid regulatory content and annual education meet accreditation standards and align with organizational policies.
  • Generates and validates reports for surveys, audits, and regulatory review. Maintains documentation demonstrating organizational compliance.
  • Serves as the primary contact for employees requiring HealthStream assistance. Provides support for team members completing annual education.
  • Configures leave of absence data so HealthStream reporting reflects accurate employee compliance information.
  • Analyzes changes and enhancements for turnkey educational content, ensuring system integrity and determining impact on curricula and interfaced systems.
  • Documents problems associated with turnkey educational content and works with HealthStream and associated vendors to resolve them; reports progress on problem resolution to appropriate stakeholders and Educational Services leadership.
  • Leverages LMS tools and other educational technologies to enhance compliance education and streamline reporting.
  • Organizes and facilitates HealthStream training for authorized unit-level administrators.
  • Responds to assignments in a timely manner as prioritized by Educational Services leadership.
  • Monitors changes to accreditation standards and proactively updates education to ensure readiness for regulatory surveys.
  • Coordinates projects that strengthen organizational compliance and staff readiness, ensuring timely execution and accurate reporting.

Pay Range: Salaried/Exempt Position $63,419 - $101,462 Compensation commensurate with experience Schedule: Full - Time Monday - Friday
