The role has a strong focus on engineering excellence, platform reliability, and team enablement. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Define and own the data engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, architectural standards, and operational KPIs.
  • Lead and mentor data engineers, fostering a culture of autonomy, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive infrastructure-as-code adoption (Terraform) and cloud-native engineering practices across the platform.
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions integration for data workflows, ensuring reliable and secure deployments.
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, and platform teams to evolve the ecosystem.
  • Ensure engineering practices are aligned with company-wide standards.
  • Guide the team in building scalable, maintainable, and observable data pipelines using Python and Azure services.
  • Partner with QA, product, and analytics teams to embed reliability and governance early in the development lifecycle.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proven experience leading engineering efforts in cloud-native, analytics-driven environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Deep understanding of Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
  • Good communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Skilled in mentoring and developing engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and technical growth.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Azure data services.
  • Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and secure data operations.

Our Offer:

  • Room for personal development through external, internal training tools and learning and development program #GROW. Be your unique self, share your creative ideas, do your best work, and take time to grow in our caring and inclusive culture where you can belong.
  • Annual incentive plan based on division financial performance and your seniority.
  • Referral bonus, meal vouchers, monthly allowance, gift vouchers twice a year.
  • Corporate Health Insurance.
  • Mindfulness and Wellbeing programs (Wellbeats, MyQuillibrium, Compsych, Mind & Body webinars).
  • Up to 28 days of annual leave based on seniority.
  • We have a strong work from home culture and take into consideration punctual needs and more.
  • Flexible working schedule. You'll find the flexibility for balance in your life.

Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office as part of the recruitment process.
