Strategy And Operations Manager
Wolt's Monetization Group is responsible for managing and optimizing merchant monetization across our global footprint. This includes commission structures, savings programs, platform fees, pricing architecture, and more. As we expand scope and complexity, we are looking for a highly driven Strategy And Operations Manager to take ownership of key monetization levers and help build scalable systems, tools, and processes for the future.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, GMs, product teams, and finance to design, implement, and iterate on monetization strategies across regions. This role is both strategic and executional—ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex commercial problems while rolling up their sleeves to drive impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and evolve our merchant monetization strategy across key fee levers: commissions, Wolt+, Ads and more.
- Design and implement new pricing structures and incentives in collaboration with product, local ops, and sales teams.
- Lead monetization pilots, track performance, and scale successful models across markets.
- Oversee the delivery of savings programs with increasing complexity and compliance needs.
- Develop new systems and tools to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of savings initiatives.
- Partner with Finance & Strategy (F&S) to track performance, plan targets, and bridge results to plan.
- Global DRI for merchant commissions and fees who works closely with GMs, RGMs, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Build playbooks, negotiation frameworks, and goaling models to support commercial and account management teams.
- Align commission policies with other monetization streams like Ads, bundling, and hybrid fulfillment to ensure coherent total take rate management.
- Work with Product to scale systems for commission management, tracking, and fee automation.
- Support expansion into new geographies during integration phases with scalable monetization frameworks.
- Ensure compliance and operational readiness through policy alignment and change management.
Our humble expectations include:
- 8-10 years of experience in strategy, operations, finance, pricing, or commercial leadership in high-growth or matrixed environments.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset; proficiency in tools such as Excel/Sheets, SQL, and visualization tools.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior leadership across markets.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance business goals, merchant health, and long-term profitability. Strong ownership mentality, bias for action, and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
- Prior exposure to marketplaces, subscription pricing, or B2B monetization models is a plus.
