As an Operations Assistant based in Cardiff you will be responsible for:

  • Working within the warehouse picking/packing goods
  • Provide a high level of customer service by supplying the correct materials.
  • Check Goods-in are correctly delivered against delivery notes and goods are booked in on the Wolseley System, then put away accurately and safely.
  • Accurately pick and label goods booked out to customers and other branches using Wolseley System, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
  • Maintain standards of housekeeping and adhere to health and safety guidelines, including manual handling techniques, use of loading equipment and PPE.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm. No weekend work required.

  • Industry or merchant experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Proven experience in customer service / warehouse environments
  • Good communication skills
  • Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.
  • Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
