Mental Health And Addiction Service Support Worker

Work alongside tāngata whaiora to maintain physical, emotional & spiritual wellness. Assist them with meal prep, clean-up & other daily living tasks. The Role You'll be working Sunday to Thursday from 3pm to 11.30pm, based in Tauranga. In this role you will:

  • Support people in our housing and recovery mental health service
  • Have good people skills and able to work independently and within a wider team.
  • Be busy supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills.
  • Attending appointments and advocating for people.
  • Might be assisting people to connect with their communities.
  • Be prepared to do whatever it takes for the people we support - cleaning, cooking or helping with everyday tasks.

You Preferably you'll hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing to commence study towards this qualification within six months of starting with us.

  • You must hold a current full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
