The Role

Kuripuni Street is a service which provides support to tangata whai ora in the community setting. Tangata whai ora are supported to live independently to reach their goals and work towards living in the community without support.

This role will be suitable for someone who is driven, supportive and works well in a fast paced, team environment.

Some responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting with daily living skills such as, cooking cleaning and gardening
  • Attending appointments
  • Supporting tanagta whai ora with community activities
  • Updating and maintain the filing, first aid kits, emergency kits
  • These services operate as a 24-hour service.
  • We strongly encourage Māori and Pacifica to apply. We also encourage people with lived experience to apply.

This is a full-time role working Friday-Saturday, 7am - 3.30pm and Sunday-Monday, 3pm - 11.30pm, based in Masterton.

You

  • You must hold a current full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • Applicants must hold the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you will be willing to commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Pathways. This needs to be completed within two years of commencement.
  • You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
