Robotic Welding Programmer

We are seeking a Robotic Welding Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This role combines welding expertise with programming skills to optimize robotic welding operations, ensure compliance with AWS standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. If you have experience in welding processes and robotic programming, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Program and optimize robotic welding cells using 3D simulation and offline programming software.
  • Ensure compliance with AWS codes (D1.1 & D1.2) across all welding operations.
  • Develop and maintain welding procedures and qualifications to support production teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement fixtures and tooling for robotic weld cells.
  • Troubleshoot welding and programming issues, providing corrective solutions.
  • Train production personnel on robotic welding processes and programming best practices.
  • Analyze engineering designs for welding requirements and recommend improvements.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support engineering change requests (ECRs) and continuous improvement projects.

Essential Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in robotic programming or weld engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes (GMAW and GTAW).
  • Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 & D1.2 codes.
  • Experience with weld fixtures, tooling, and automated welding environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with SolidWorks for modeling and drawings.
  • Familiarity with welding metallurgy and heat treatment.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles.

Work Environment:

The role involves working within a dynamic manufacturing environment equipped with advanced robotic welding cells. The work hours are structured to support production schedules, and the team emphasizes collaboration and continuous improvement to maintain high standards of efficiency and quality.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clintonville, WI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $38.46/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
