Technical Support Coordinator

The Technical Support Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations for field technicians working on connectivity and cabling-related service requests at customer sites, primarily retail environments. This position serves as a central point of contact for technical support, coordinating issue resolution and maintaining communication between field teams and internal support resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive inbound service calls from field technicians reporting status updates or requesting technical guidance.
• Initiate outbound calls to field technicians when extended time on-site or issue complexity requires proactive follow-up.
• Maximize technician efficiency by ensuring time on-site is well-utilized and focused on resolution.
• Provide real-time support and direction to technicians performing cabling work at customer locations.
• Confirm all necessary on-site arrangements and equipment shipments prior to technician dispatch.
• Document service request updates in internal and customer databases according to established best practices and client-specific requirements.
• Close out completed service requests in internal systems and/or customer platforms.
• Act as a liaison between field technicians and internal support teams, advocating for timely and effective issue resolution.

Scope of Support: This role supports cabling infrastructure connected to various networked devices within retail stores. While the position does not involve direct support of the devices themselves (e.g., kiosks, TVs, POS systems, cameras, routers, switches, displays), it ensures that the cabling and connectivity to these devices are properly installed and maintained.

Required Skills:

• Basic understanding of networking concepts
• Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues
• Familiarity with routers, switches, and structured cabling
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Experience with service ticketing systems and documentation

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
