What You Will Contribute: As a Staff Engineer - Product Regulatory at Badger Meter, you’ll play a mission-critical role at the intersection of engineering excellence and international standards. You won’t just interpret regulations-you’ll help shape how innovative electronic products achieve certifications across global markets including North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. This is a high-impact opportunity to develop product regulatory strategy, especially in UL, CSA, CE, IECEx, and ATEX standards. You’ll act as the vital link between engineering design teams and certifying agencies, guiding the New Product Development (NPD) process to ensure both speed and precision in certification outcomes. We welcome candidates with backgrounds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering who are interested in compliance and regulatory or are already in those roles. Whether you’re seasoned in hazardous location certifications or looking to grow in a new area, we value your technical insight and collaborative mindset. This role will be hybrid (3 days a week onsite) at one of our US office facilities (Milwaukee WI, Racine WI, Melbourne FL, San Antonio TX, Tulsa OK, Los Gatos CA, Centennial CO, or Collegeville PA). We are open to relocation for the right individual. Although this is an individual contributor role, it requires a strong leadership mindset with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, drive alignment, and lead initiatives through collaboration and technical expertise.
