Service Advisor

Interstate Assembly Systems is seeking a skilled Service Advisor with experience in heavy-duty truck manufacturing or up-fitting to join our team in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service, managing service transactions from appointment scheduling to final invoicing, and ensuring smooth shop operations. In this role, you will partner with our current service advisor and work as a team of two in assisting customers in-person and over the phone using our processes and exceptional customer experience standards!

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Greet customers in person or over the phone, asking detailed questions to understand equipment issues.
  • Prepare and present accurate quotes and estimates, leveraging in-depth knowledge of crane parts and labor.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for sublet work required on customer units.
  • Manage the service schedule to ensure timely completion of repairs and efficient shop workflow.
  • Monitor technician time and repair progress to maximize efficiency.
  • Provide regular updates to customers on repair progress.
  • Explain completed work and charges to customers, ensuring clear communication and collecting payments.
  • Assist with warranty claims at the branch level, collaborating with the warranty department to maximize vendor recovery.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Prior Service Advisor experience.
  • Experience in heavy-duty trucks and/or equipment operation.
  • Strong communication skills for phone and in-person interactions.
  • Professionalism and customer service skills.
  • Proficient typing and ability to navigate multiple vendor applications and websites.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent to continuous seated work. Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
