What You Will Contribute: Are you a Quality Engineer with a passion for electronic products? Badger Meter is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer (Site) at our Milwaukee facility. In this role you\'ll lead quality initiatives that shape the future of our innovative technology and the performance of our globally renowned products. In this role, you won\'t just enforce standards-you\'ll influence how our products are built, tested, and launched by providing technical direction on quality across processes, services, and electronic components. You\'ll work extensively with PCBA, cable assemblies, and IPC standards, helping ensure every product meets the highest expectations. Whether you\'re coaching teams, collaborating on New Product Development, or strengthening our audit and compliance processes, your work will directly support our Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environmental, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. We\'re looking for someone who thrives in cross-functional, fast-moving environments, and enjoys collaborating with others.

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement quality methodologies for electronic products, including PCBA and cable assemblies.
  • Lead control plan development and training aligned to IPC-A-610/620, IPC-J-STD, and ANSI/ESD standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and collaboration to New Product Development (NPD) and cross-site teams.
  • Lead quality root cause analysis and effectiveness validation for NCMR/CAR/CAPA programs.
  • Conduct internal audits, identify quality gaps, and execute improvement strategies.
  • Support training needs with APQP, improve quality acceptance standards (QAS) and mentor site quality professionals.
  • Up to 15% travel (approx. 1x a quarter domestically or internationally)

Education and Experience:

Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering or a related field required; Master\'s Degree preferred

5+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related role desired.

Qualifications:

Intermediate knowledge in Quality Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, AS9100) required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge IPC-A-610/620, IPC-J-STD, ANSI/ESD S20.20 - PCBA and Cables strongly desired
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) preferred
  • Proficiency with Statistical Process Techniques, Failure Analysis, and Process Validation preferred
