Why You Will Love This Job: The Senior Project Engineer Development, Gasoline Engines will plan and execute design validation for NPD and SPD projects. They will lead engine development activity for engine programs, working with Design Engineering to resolve performance issues with the engine or sub-system. They will also lead engineering subtasks involving the development, design, fabrication, validation, and manufacture of subassemblies, systems, processes and equipment. Conceive and plan engineering subtasks to explore product or process problems; defines and selects new concepts and approaches to the design or development of new or improved products or processes. Additionally, they will ensure appropriate test methods are applied to all product development activities and that testing outputs align with divisional product plans and engineering goals. Identify the need for and specify new test systems in accordance with new product development technical requirements and schedules.
